Finding out which Distribution Groups a user is a member of has always been quite painful in Exchange. Unfortunately this hasn’t been made any easier in Office 365. Frequently we get ask to provide a list of users that are assigned to distribution groups in the Office 365 Hosted Exchange environment. This is an admin feature and not always easy to figure out. With this in minde we created a training video to help Office 365 Admins export user data from Exchange Distrabution Group Lists.
In this video we will show you have to:
- Access Office 365 Admin
- Access Exchange Admin
- Access Exchange Distrobution Groups
- Export Exchange Distrobution Group List Data
In addtion to the attached video you may find the following MS Office 365 KB article helpful to further explain how to export group memebers from the exchange admin center. The Get-DistributionGroupMembers PowerShell script and instructions are available at the Microsoft Script Repository.
Unfortunatly most of the help files online about exporting group memeber data from exchange to CSV are done throught he PowerShell. Since most of our users don’t use PowereShell we thought an easy to follow video tutorial would be a very helpful for all those users who don’t consider themselves “Power Users”.
